Fred Morris9Martin (Mary Hardeman8Sims, William James7, John Dabney6, John5, William4, Bruster3, Edward2, William1), was born 1 September 1893, near Bynum, Hill County, Texas, died 31 August 1955, Valley View, Cooke County, Texas.[3156] He married 18 January 1920, Valley View, Cooke County, to Lou Ella Habern,[3157] born 12 September 1896, Denton, Denton County, Texas, died 10 June 1971, Valley View, daughter of Andrew Cowen Habern and Jennie Dean McClendon. Fred and Lou are buried in View View Cemetery, Valley View, Cooke County, Texas.[3158]

Fred Martin served in World War I. He enlisted 6 July 1917, the same day as his brother, Lyle. Lyle and Fred served in the same regiment, the 142nd Regiment, Machine Gun Battalion, 36th Division. He was discharged 20 June 1919.

Fred and Lou Martin lived in Cooke County, Texas, in 1930.[3159]
