James Rice lived in Wilkes County, in 1830.98 James and Sabra Rice lived in Randolph County, Georgia, in 1850.99 They lived in Dale County, Alabama, in 1870.100
    3. Samuel2Thompson (Henry1), was born circa 1780, died 9 September 1837, Taliaferro County, Georgia,101 married circa 1801, Wilkes County, Georgia, to Priscilla ——, born circa 1778/1790, North Carolina, died between 1860 and 1870 in Taliaferro County.
    Samuel first appeared in the tax list of Wilkes County, Georgia, in 1802 in District RR next to his father, Henry Thompson. He owned no land in 1802.102 Samuel came of age to pay taxes in 1802. In 1805 in Wilkes County, Samuel Thompson paid taxes in District II next to Wylie Saxon; Samuel owned no land.103
    Samuel Thompson received a deed of gift, 29 August 1808, in Greene County, Georgia, from his father, Henry Thompson. It was 100 acres in Greene County, on Stephens Creek, adjoining Henning Daniel and Evans, the north part of 200 acres granted to Henry Thompson, 11 November 1788.104
    Samuel lived in Greene County, Georgia, when the 1820 census was taken.105 Taliaferro County was created partly from Greene County, in 1825. Samuel lived in Taliaferro County, when the 1827 Georgia state census was taken.106 Samuel lived in Taliaferro County, when the 1830 census was taken.107
