| Quinea O’Neal and Susan Thompson had two children: Edmund Harrison O’Neal, born circa 1831, and Almedia C. O’Neal, born circa 1834. Priscilla Thompson made deed to her grandchildren, Edmund Harrison and Almedia C. O’Neal, 29 July 1849.129 Edmund sold his ½ of the lot to his sister, 16 October 1858.130 Almedia C. O’Neal sold the lot to William Bell, 26 October 1858.131 In this deed it is stated that the lot was where Almedia O’Neal and her father, Quinea O’Neal, now reside. Edmund O’Neal lived in Taliaferro County, in 1850; he was age 19, clerk in store.

| Alexander H. Stephens was vice-president of the Confederate States and governor of Georgia from 4 November 1882 to 4 March 1883. He was also a Georgia state legislator and senator. He was elected to the United States Congress in 1859. Stephens was born 11 February 1812 near Crawfordville, and died 4 March 1883. The name of Alexander H. Stephens’s house is Liberty Hall. It is in Crawfordville, Georgia. Quinea O’Neal lived in Liberty Hall in 1860 and 1870 with Alexander H. Stephens. The house is next door to the Crawfordville Baptist Church; it is a Georgia Historical site. The first item of Stephens’s will: Item 1st, It is my will and desire that my friend Quinea O’Neal shall have a home at Liberty Hall and a comfortable support out of my estate as long as he lives.132
