    Alexander Thompson
    Alexander Thompson may have been a brother of Henry Thompson (1750-1823). Alexander was granted 250 acres in Wilkes County, Georgia, in 1786. Alexander was granted 400 acres in Washington County (now Greene County), Georgia, in 1788.249
    Alexander Thompson lived adjoining Henry Thompson (1750-1823) on Stephens Creek in Wilkes County, from 1785 to 1793. In 1785, Alexander Tomas [sic] paid taxes in Captain Thornton’s District EE in Wilkes County, on 400 acres in Washington County, and 250 acres in Wilkes County, with no slaves.250
    In 1786, Alexander Thompson paid taxes in Wilkes County, Georgia, in Captain Read’s District DD, on 450 acres in Wilkes County, and 400 acres in Greene County, no slaves.251 In 1787, Alexander Thomson paid taxes in Wilkes County, Captain Read’s District DD, on 200 acres in Wilkes County, and 400 acres in Greene County, and no slaves.252
