| Henry Thompson was probably born circa 1766. He died circa 1799 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia. Henry paid taxes in Wilkes County, in District W, beginning in 1787. He had no land and lived next to Archibald Thompson. In 1790, in District W, Henry Thompson paid taxes on 260 acres in Wilkes County. In 1791, Henry paid taxes on 250 acres in Wilkes County. In 1792, in Wilkes County, District W, Henry Thompson paid taxes on 252 acres in Wilkes County, on Little River, adjoining Humphrey Edmondson and James Buchanan. In 1793, Henry Thompson paid taxes in Wilkes County, District W, on 252 acres on Little River, adjoining James Bradshor and Theophilus Ellison. District W of Wilkes County, was put into Oglethorpe County, Georgia, after the 1793 taxes were taken.
