    18. Dorothy “Dolly”3Hardeman (Thomas2, John1), was born 15 May 1786,520 Davidson County, Tennessee, died 17 March 1843, Platte County, Missouri.521 She married in 1802, in Davidson County, Tennessee, to George Burnett,522 born 26 September 1770, Pittsylvania County, Virginia, died 22 February 1838,523 Clay County, Missouri.524 George was the son of James Burnett who died in 1796 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia.
    On 27 August 1804 in Williamson County, Tennessee, George Burnett of Davidson County, Tennessee, bought from Joseph Coleman of the town of Nashville, for $1000, 333 1/3 acres on Harpeth River, adjoining land granted to Absalom Tatum, Edward Swanson, John Gray and Thomas Blount.525
    George Burnett was a carpenter. He built several of the first log and and frame buildings in Nashville. George and Dorothy Burnett lived in Davidson County, Tennessee, from 1802 until 1811. In 1811, they moved from Davidson County, to Williamson County, Tennessee, about four miles south of Franklin on the main road to Columbia, Maury County.
    In 1817, George and Dorothy Burnett and her father, Thomas Hardeman, moved from Williamson County, Tennessee, to Howard County, Missouri. In 1822, George and Dorothy moved from Howard County, to Clay County, Missouri, where they entered a 160 acre tract at the land office for $1.25 per acre.526 George Burnett is included in the 1830 census of Clay County, Missouri.527
