    Letters of Administration on the estate of Bailey Hardeman, deceased, of the Republic of Texas, were filed in Williamson County, Tennessee, in May of 1838. Franklin Hardeman was administrator.641 The final settlement of the estate of Bailey Hardeman, deceased, was filed in Williamson County, 2 July 1841.642
    In Matagorda County, Texas, 11 February 1848, Rebecca A. Hardeman gave to Sam Hardeman, an equal and undivided half of a tract with improvements in Caney in Matagorda County, half of a league, originally granted to Burnett and Sojourner, and the same on which I am residing, and slaves.643
