    4 July 1827, Oglethorpe County, Deed of Gift: John Hardaman and Paulina Hardeman, for love and affection to our connection John Hardaman Pope, minor and son of Burwell Pope, give to Burwell Pope in trust for his son John Hardeman Pope, a negro girl named Sarah Ann about three or four years old, daughter of Chana, and increase of Chana.735

Other note to Wiley Hill, administrator of Abraham Hill, deceased, for $972.91 from 2 April 1828. John’s security to Burwell: negroes, named with ages.737
