    Certificate, Republic of Texas: John M. Hardeman having served faithfully and honorably for the term of three months from the fourth of July 1836 until the fourth of October 1836 and having been honorably discharged is entitled to 320 acres Bounty Land, Austin, 19 November 1841. Approved 16 August 1851, H. L. Upshur, acting Adj. Genl. John M. Hardeman assigned this 320 acres of bounty land to Moses Evans, 29 April 1846. The land was 177 acres on Big Sandy Creek in Walker County, Texas, 25 November 1850.899 John M. Hardeman served in Company F of the 1st Regiment, Texas Volunteers.
    Washington County, Texas, 1st Class certificate to John M. Hardeman: Montgomery Land District, Texas, 19 November 1841: survey made for Moses Evans assignee of John M. Hardeman, it being entitled by virtue of a certificate No. 9883 issued , 19 November 1841, 177 acres in Walker County, Texas, on Big Sandy Creek, a branch of the West San Jacinto River, about 6 ½ miles from Huntsville, adjoining Thomas Gillespie, James Thompson, J. Lemans.900
    Washington County, Texas, 16 May 1848: Survey of one half League of land for Nathaniel Peck in Washington County and Burleson County on the Yeagua west of the Brazos River by virtue of a certificate No. 127 issued by the Board of Land Commissioners for Washington County to John M. Hardiman for one League and Labor of land dated 12 January 1838. Adjoining Bird Hanks, the Yeagua, J. Dewitt’s league, John M. Hardeman’s N.W. boundary. 4 ½ labors arable land and 8 labors pasture land.901

Hardiman in Washington and Burleson Counties on Yeagua west of the Brazos River, Certificate No. 127 issued by the Board of Land Commissioners for Washington County, to John M. Whitehead, Bird Hanks, Nathaniel Peck, DeWit’s survey, road crossing at Belcher’s Crossing on the Yeagua. 5 Labors arable land and 7 ½ labors pasture land.902
