pages 124-125     Mortgage: Morgan Co., Ga.: James Mitchell of afsd. co., for $1100, to Hiram Russau & Thomas R. Mitchell, road wagon supposed to be worth about $75, 2 bay horses, one 7 years old supposed to be worth $100, the other 10 years old valued at $60, 2 roan horses each 10 years old valued at $60 each, 3 sorrel horses, one at $50, other 2 at $25 each, a dark bay horse about 12 years old valued at $50, yoke of oxen & cart, one oxen a dun color & other red valued at $75, another yoke of oxen about 2 years old (spotted) valued at $30, 5 cows & calves all valued at $100. Condition: mortgage to be void if James Mitchell pays note to Thomas R. Mitchell at Branch Bank of Darien (Milledgeville, Ga.) drawn for $1100 about 1 March 1825 due in 89 days & endorsed by Thomas R. Mitchell & Hiram Russau.
