pages 247-248     Mortgage: Morgan Co., Ga.: 9 Oct. 1826, William Talbot to Thomas Swift & Greene Talbot, all of afsd. co. Thomas Swift & Greene Talbot were securities on a bond for William Talbot due to Nathaniel Allen, Isaac Walker, Young Stokes, Hezekiah F. Goss, & Rodrick Leonard, Justices of the Inferior Court of Morgan Co. for $3499.39 1/2 with interest from 1 Sept. 1825 till all paid. They bound themselves to use the sum in pursuance to the Will of Benjamin Bracewell, decd. dated 19 July 1826. Security to Swift & Talbot from all liability on bond: tract on Sandy Creek waters, 665 1/2 acres in 20th Dist. of originally Baldwin now Morgan Co., part of Lot 261, 116 1/2 acres, part of Lot 256, 136 1/2 acres, Lot 260, 202 1/2 acres. Also, 100 acres of Lot 283 & fraction Lot 259, 100 acres, is the place where said Talbot now lives. If William Talbot complies with bond & saves Thomas Swift & Greene Talbot from any loss from their securityship then this to be void, else to remain in full force. /s/ Wm. Talbot. Wit: Martin P.
