He married 20 November 1898, Montague County, Texas, to Gertrude Chambers, born 12 December 1875, Huntsville, Madison County, Alabama, died 1957. They are buried in Sunset Cemetery, Cochise County, Arizona.
Arizona Range News, 22 February 1958, Cochise County, Arizona: Homesteader dies in local hospital. Mrs. Gertrude Williams Church came here over forty years ago. She homesteaded near Bonita in 1912. The Churches came here from Texas, however Mrs. Church was born in Huntsville, Alabama, 12 December 1875. The Churches after leaving Bonita, moved to the Stewart Community. After Mr. Church’s death in March 1955, Mrs. Church lived with her son Leon where she lived when she died. Besides Leon she is survived by her son Clyde of Bull Head, Arizona, and two grandchildren, one in Los Angeles and the other of Glendale. One son died in infancy. The funeral was at the Baptist Church.
