Oscar Elijah7Dunlap (Eliza6Harlan, Elizabeth “Betsy”5Sims, William4, Bruster3, Edward2, William1), was born 30 November 1849, Chickasaw County, Mississippi, died 30 August 1925, at his summer home in Colorado, buried Waxahachie City Cemetery, Ellis County, Texas.[1738] He married 21 December 1876, Ellis County, Texas, to Ella Virginia McDuffie,[1739] born 30 November 1855, Mississippi, died 29 May 1933, Waxahachie, Ellis County, Texas., buried in Waxahachie City Cemetery.[1740] She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. McDuffie who came to Texas from Mississippi, in 1869.[1741]

O. E. Dunlap was elected justice of the peace in Ellis County, in 1877. In 1880 he was admitted to practice law. He was elected county judge in 1882. In 1886 he was elected president of Citizens Bank, which was established in 1884. He was president of Citizens National Bank in Waxahachie for forty years.

Oscar and Ella Dunlap lived in Waxahachie, Ellis County, Texas, in 1880. His mother, Eliza Sims, and his stepfather, N. P. Sims, lived with them.[1742] In 1900, O. E. Dunlap was a bank president in Ellis County. His stepfather, N. P. Sims, lived with him.[1743]
