In 1913, H. E. Harlan was cashier of the bank in Stamford, Jones County, Texas. His son, William M. Harlan, was assistant cashier. His son, William M. Harlan, and his son-in-law, Haywood Hamblett, were directors of the bank. Vice president of the bank was O. P. Harlan.

     487.        i.   Eugene Porter Harlan, born 20 August 1882, Noxubee County, Mississippi, died November 1932, Benton County, Arkansas, buried Oakley Chapel Cemetery, Benton County.

Eugene Porter Harlan, age 50, died Friday afternoon at the home of his father, H. E. Harlan, about three miles northwest of Rogers, after a long illness. Interment was in the Oakley Chapel Cemetery. Besides his father, Mr. Harlan is survived by three brothers, W. M. Harlan, Arlington, Texas; and V. M. and J. K. Harlan of Rogers; four sisters, Mrs. H. Hamblett, Dallas, Texas; Mrs. B. Williams, Tulsa, Oklahoma; Mrs. Earl Hardway, Tulsa; and Miss Jeanne Harlan, Rogers.[1833]

William M. Harlan lived with his sister and brother-in-law, Haywood and Anna M. Hamblett in Stamford, Jones County, Texas, in 1910. William was a bookkeeper at the bank. William M. and Jewel R. Harlan lived in Stamford, Jones County, Texas, in 1920. He was a stock dealer.[1835]

Dallas Morning News, 13 February 1957: Arlington, Texas – W. M. Harlan, 72, a salesman who had lived here for the last thirty years, died Thursday in a Fort Worth hospital after a short illness. Harlan was a native of Alabama.
