     792.        i.   Walter Dabney Estes, born 1915, Italy, Ellis County, Texas, died in May 1995.[3120] He married Kathleen Reeves. Walter lived in Ellis County, in 1920, with his mother, grandmother, and aunt; and in 1930, in Ellis County, with his grandmother, Elnora Sims, and his aunt, Jewel L. Sims. He moved to Callahan County, Texas, and then to Lakewood, Colorado. Son: Richard Dabney Estes.

Children of Alton Arthur Davis and Lillie Dale Sims:

     793.       ii.   Bill Alton Davis, born 24 March 1924, Italy, Ellis County, Texas, died 17 February 2000, Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, buried Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock.[3121] He married 24 June 1949, Abilene, Taylor County, Texas, to Paula Lee Hazel.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, earned a B.A. in mathematics from Hardin-Simmons University in 1946, and a doctorate jurisprudence from Southern Methodist University School of Law. Bill Davis was county judge of Lubbock County, from 1958 to 1963, and then practiced law in Lubbock. He wrote a hunting and fishing column for the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal for several years. [3122]

     794.      iii.   Alvin Arthur “Bud” Davis, born 22 July 1925, Belfalls, Bell County, Texas, died 24 January 2006, Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas. He married 29 January 1949, Denton, Denton County, Texas, to Anne Hill, died 1996. He married second, 1 May 1998, Salt Lake City, Utah, to Glenna McMullan.

A. A. Davis served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He earned a degree from Hardin-Simmons University, and was a CPA in Lubbock and was Crosby County Auditor for 28 years.[3123]
